Bill has been fixing appliances around Oro Valley for over 25 years, and his neighbors already trusted him. What he needed was a website that sounded like him and made it easy for people to pick up the phone. I sat down with Bill to figure out his goals, then built the whole site, from the wording to the layout. I also cleaned up his Google Business Profile and refreshed his NextDoor page, so people find the same clear information wherever they look.
I led marketing and recruiting at a charter school while also serving as special education director, and I was the main content creator when we redid the website. The original site was built by IT with generic, SEO-heavy wording and stock photos, so it didn’t really sound like the school. I rewrote and organized it with clear paths for students and families, swapped stock photos for real moments from campus, and kept everything in line with state charter board requirements. The part I’m proudest of is the FAQ on each page, which came straight from questions families asked me.
Marketing and web strategy, Booster Club Marketing Chair (2018–2021)
As Marketing Chair for the Ironwood Ridge High School Theatre Booster Club, I designed and maintained the theatre’s website and created seasonal branding for each show, including digital ads, social graphics, marketing emails, and print pieces. I set up online ticketing with clear directions to performances, and I also helped build sets, sold tickets, and made promotional products. The original site has since been replaced, so there’s no live link.
